The 2025 Ford Expedition: Redesigned and Refined Full-Size SUV

Performance

The 2025 Ford Expedition comes in four trims and offers two wheelbase lengths: Standard and Max, which offers even more cargo space. Under the hood, the standard engine for this new Ford SUV is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 that outputs 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Also available is the upgraded 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 High-Output, which is rated at 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. This power plant comes standard on the new 2025 Ford Expedition Tremor and is optional for the 2025 Ford Expedition Platinum.

Both engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard on the 2025 Ford Expedition Active and MAX Active trims, whereas the other trims come equipped with Intelligent 4WD (four-wheel drive) with Terrain Management System™. The entire lineup also features independent front and rear suspensions that ensure smooth cornering, handling, and stability.
