This new Ford truck boasts three engines. There’s also a 2.7-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that outputs 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. It’s optional for the 2025 Ford Ranger XLT and 2025 Ford Ranger Lariat. The third engine, a 3.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine capable of 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, is exclusive to the range-topping 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor.
All three engines pair with a class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission. And when properly equipped, this truck will deliver max towing of 7,500 lbs and max payload of 1,788 lbs.
Ford Ranger XL
This trim rides on 17-inch wheels and integrates a great infotainment system consisting of a digital instrument display, a 10-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker sound system. It also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity, along with safety features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning.
Ford Ranger XLT
The Ford Ranger XLT adds convenience amenities such as LED bed lighting, a manual sliding rear window, and a 120-volt household-style outlet. It also beefs up the infotainment system with cloud-based navigation and wireless phone charging.
